HISTORY
Casa Alvarinho has almost 50 years of activity in the world of clothes from home, scoring an own and well defined style.
Álvaro Palhares founded CASA ALVARINHO, opening its first store in 1962 in Valença, Portugal. A great admirer of innovation, requires from the beginning the idea of creating a store with taste and life style.
This shop was the cradle of the family of stores, from the beginning had the presence of customers of large political and social relevance of the season, which helped consolidate and enhance the prestige of our brand. In 1980 we opened up a second unit, which had a large size, with large exhibition areas, which aroused great interest and concern not only our customers, but also on competitors. This also give us a privileged position in the market, has opened the doors of the main national and international factories. In 1991 began the project of the third unit. Its strategic location has enabled us to draw the attention of the public as quickly securing a reference in the shops of textile home market. After turning down numerous proposals to expand international and some reticence, in 1998 we decided to open a new store in Madrid, situated in one of the main shopping streets of this city, alongside major international brand.
The draft franchise did not start until the year 1999, after the idea matured and overcome all the bureaucratic hurdles required.
In March 2001 we participated in expofranchising, where we had a good acceptance and we got plenty of contacts.
In October of that year we opened the doors to the first unit fanchising. From that moment and quietly increased the number of units according to the plan of expected growth. Currently 12 units are present in Portugal, Spain and Santiago de Chile with its own stores or franchised brand.
We also have, since the creation of the first franchise stores, with distribution and sale to customers looking for our product to their own business of home textiles multibrand at locations where there are no shops Casa Alvarinho, both in Portugal and Spain and abroad.
Our next project will be sold through our online store, which aims to facilitate the purchase of our loyal customers and to reach many others wherever they are.
